ORLANDO RESIDENTS SINK THEIR TEETH INTO NEW SMOKEY BONES

Waterford Lakes is the First to Experience the New Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

ORLANDO, Fla. (August 15, 2008) The Waterford Lakes community is now enjoying a whole new dining experience at Smokey Bones. Today, Smokey Bones Waterford Lakes reopened its doors as Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, with a new name and philosophy as part of a top-to-bottom rebranding.

"Smokey Bones is now a place where people can comfortably gather, whether it's just for a drink or to enjoy our boldly flavored food," said President & CEO Ian Baines. "Ever since our new management team took over earlier this year, we have been focused on pointing Smokey Bones in a new, exciting direction."

Gone is the mountain, log cabin theme showcasing hilltop scenery and canoes. In its place is an engaging, exciting atmosphere with a genuine feel and an updated decor. The bar is the centerpiece of the new Smokey Bones, with high-top tables and an energy inviting guests to spend time with friends, watch a game on one of the several flat-screen TVs, and most importantly, enjoy the laid-back experience.

"A thorough look at our brand in partnership with our branding agency, Push, showed us that customers desire more than just dining at Smokey Bones," said Peter Bell, vice president of marketing for Smokey Bones. "We're now much more than simply a place to eat - we've evolved to provide an unforgettable experience making customers want to come back time and time again."

Whether hanging out at the bar or dining at a table, guests can enjoy a variety of fire-grilled and slow smoked foods with intense and intriguing flavors, born out of Smokey Bones' roots in the art of smoked barbeque.

The restaurant's new energy and vibrance can be seen not only in the decor and design, but in the Waterford Lakes team itself. Thanks to the rebranding, the Smokey Bones teammates are allowed - and even encouraged - to inject their own personality and energy into the bar and dining experience.

Later this month, a new Smokey Bones Web site will launch, mirroring the brand's new personality, and in several months time, additional features will be added to to the site, fully integrating it with the branding.

Waterford Lakes is the first of all the Smokey Bones locations to become fully converted to Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill. Over the months ahead, the restaurant group will detail its plans to roll out the new Smokey Bones brand to seven other Central Florida locations, and subsequently, in other markets nationwide. In addition, a new menu design will debut in all Smokey Bones locations in late August.
